OH, Christmas, OH

Forgetting Kevin?!

Oh my. This Christmas I did not watch Home Alone. It was one of my Christmas habits and honestly I don not want to change it, so I'll do my best to find it and watch it. I still have 2 days left. That movie makes me laugh and makes me happy every time I see it.
I was maybe 8 or so when I first saw it. I think i was in love with 'Kevin'- a real bad boy back than :)
After more than 10 years of watching 'Home Alone' I'm still thrilled...I mean, look at his face :)

A quick post to pass the message and to spread out some joy and happiness.
Christmas tree, food and maybe some snow pics will be posted soon.

All the best!

Flying is my hobby

Yey. Tomorrow I will be over the rainbow (?! hum..) and over the clouds. I will be swimming in a sea of foam. I'm flying home. It will be only for a week but it will be worth it: family, the ambiance, special Christmas spirit, food, cookies...oh my.

These cookies are not 'the' cookies, I found that photo on Google. Next time I'll be posting my cookies :)

Louboutin, i like!

Pretty pretty shoes for pretty pretty girls!
I especially like the first pair. The so called 'contrast' is great: plain black and studs.

Home alone and a special Santa

I finally have a little bit time on my own. I have soooo many things to do. The thing that I am craving to do is: sleep alone, lay back and let my thoughts fly, alone again...Think about my Christmas wish list, write it down and sent it to my family and friends :) Maybe writing the list will make me feel more Christmas y...because, at this very moment I do not realize that Christmas is on it's way.
Anyway, in Paris, Conforama made a Christmas pub campaign, with a Rastafarian Santa, chilling...(what else?). Here you have a photo of the one of a kind Santa :)

This time, something vintage

My blog is bugging, apparently it's a security issue?!? I couldn't hold back so I just clicked ok, ok, ok to everything that popped out. Maybe I will get my notebook a virus. oh no...I'm flipping :o

The main reason for today's' blog is an old school/ vintage leather bag. Not too big, not too small.

Voila!

Wonder shoes

Why wonder shoes? Because you don't feel that you are standing on 8 cm high heels.

Metro 1and the good smelling man

Like everyday,I took the metro. So there I was at 9pm in the metro, next to this good smelling man. I wish I would have asked him the name of his perfume; but, as always, I'm not too chatty, not in the metro, not without a good reason.
So I looked at him. He was wearing a kind of suit and a pair or glasses. He wasn't very young though, he was a manly man...
What is it with the perfumes and smells that capture my nose and attention?! In an inexplicably way, in my imagination, this unknown fragrance would have made me jump on that guy. OH!

Art, but not at a museum

It is what it is and represents exactly what it should represent. Fear, Death, Sickness, Cemetery, Darkness, Tomb.
Yes..it is one of those days: rainy days. As I already said, Paris adores rain and rain adores Paris.
And here you have the result: a very apathetic post and an inert picture. (yet, symbolic, mysterious and artful?)

Burlesque show in a rock bar

Saturday night was interesting. We went into a rock- punk bar, had a drink, a talk and after that we had a surprise: a pretty blond girl started to dance (half naked); it was a 10 minutes burlesque show. ( if interested: http://www.myspace.com/biancadiamonds)
There will be another 'wanna see' show. A completely tattooed guy having his one man show. (Pascal Tourain is 'L'homme tatoe' Cantada in Paris).
I hope I'll go.

Raindrops will fall on my face

It is raining. I think Paris loves rain; but I surely don't.
Saturday dullness is ^sometimes^ my thing (well installed on the cozy couch, wearing cozy thick clothes), but not this time.
I will escape it, I will go have a quick drink or whatsoever. I will surely sit on the terrace, in order to observe people crossing the street, smoking, running in or from the rain and watch my friends smoke. Hum, maybe I'll take a smoke as well.
...I have to run...

University : Nomen Conference

this morning was a good morning.

NOMEN- mister Marcel Botton, talking about his enterprise.

10h30- mister Botton (he created Nomen) starts his speech about his firm and all the great things that they do
10h35- continues his discussion with the 'internationalization of Nomen'; they are basically everywhere: UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, the USA, the Baltic countries, Sweden, Japan, Finland. That's what I call a multinational company.
.....
after all that, I get soaked up and listen carefully to the 'recruitment process'. ( I was thinking 'oh, I need to do this, I need to!'-- not because I like interviews, but because I am so interested in the branding and marketing industry....)
.....
11h20- he talks about the actual creation of a 'name'-- linguistics, history, law, culture, so many aspects!
11h 40- next step: 'you give the name a visual identity' ( i mean, what would happen if coca cola would erase its tag/ logo? or mc'do?...)
.....
Now that the 2 hours are almost over I will have to 'be a man' in order to speak to mister Botton.
.....
ok, close....here I go....yey. It was not that difficult.

Merci beaucoup et au revoir.

(deep down, I hope: 'a la prochaine')

Stepping out of the shadow

Why? because some ideas and opinions are invading my brain, because I am reading all this blogs that make my day and me too I want to make your day (a big goal) ...because I am an internet freak and yes, of course, because I have around 30 minutes / day for doing that 'stepping out of the shadow' thing.
I will be waiting to see the light.

Bubble Gum: Hubba Bubba

Bubble Gum: Hubba Bubba
The ad says that you can make the largest balloons in the world :) Well, that's how it worked out for me.
